Photographer & Guest.

Hi, I'm Stephen. I'm married to Anne & have one son, Kevin. Also not forgetting  my beautiful little granddaughter, Emily. I love traveling and hiking, however, these days more when its warmer. My travels have taken me near & far, from Australia & New Zealand to Asia & the far East. I have seen a lot of Europe and visited Canada, despite this I love the UK and often visit our beautiful Lake District & can also be found hiking the Cornish coastal paths.

My Camera Obsession

Whenever I get the opportunity to have a camera around my neck or in my hand, I'm happy. As a matter of fact, this is most of the time. Whether out hiking, traveling or alternatively, a short trip into town, you will find I have a camera in my possession. I have been taking photographs for longer than I am willing to admit. I had my first 35mm SLR film camera when my son was born, he is now in his 30's.

I used to shoot weddings on film previously before the digital age. Following studying exercise science and rehabilitation and a number of years working for the NHS, I decided to return to wedding photography. That was five years ago.

Having taken images of almost every subject you could think of my interest turned to landscape photography. Travel opened up new horizons.  It was when traveling around Asia I began to concentrate on people and street photography. Then a friend asked me to help out with a wedding he was shooting. My whole "focus" changed to wedding and event photography. Having done this for quite a few years now I find it really rewarding. I now however, instead of having huge bags of photographs lying about the house and a computer full of photographs I can share my experience with other people.

About my style

There is nothing I love more than pressing the shutter button knowing that I have captured a special image, a timeless photograph & freezing the moment forever. Apart from the ceremony, and a number of group shots if required, you will not know I was there. I may surprise you with a few shots you weren't expecting!

When it comes to the rest of the day, I will be capturing shots of you, your guests, family & friends. Mainly  in a candid fashion, showing the smiles, surprises and even the tears. See wedding gallery here.

Bride & Groom shots

I prefer to take Bride & Groom shots/portraits in small sections throughout the day. For example, if there are attractive gardens at the venue or outside in the evening. It is great to escape for just a few minutes to  get a few shots. This also means you are not kept away from the quality time you would rather spend with your guests.

It is important to jointly develop a plan to allow time to capture the extra little details of your day to make your memories more precious and special.

When the day is over

The wedding celebrations are over. You have been on your honeymoon. The flowers are gone and the wedding dress is packed away. You will still need to keep those memories alive. Your wedding photographs need to last a lifetime or longer. Your children and grandchildren will be able to keep your memories alive for ever. I can plan your photographic requirements with you. From a pre-event visit to the church, or registry office, to delivering your wedding photographs.
