FAQ's or frequently asked questions that I am often asked are listed below. However if you have any other questions that you would like to ask please feel free to give me a call on 07954380107 or alternately click the contact button to sent an email with your question/s.

Can we meet to discuss our requirements?

Yes, of course. It helps to get to know and feel comfortable with each other. After all, the more comfortable and relaxed you feel, the more relaxed your photographs will be, so meeting up over a coffee for a chat is well worth while.

Can I  provide photo albums?

Yes: Photo albums can be designed and provided. Photo albums & prices vary drastically. I can discuss this with you at our initial consultation. The size, number or prints, design layout, type of cover e.g. leather, fabric, hard cover etc will all vary in price. Please see bottom of Packages page for sample.

Do I have to pay a booking fee?

For weddings I ask for 20% of the agreed fee. This is because when we agree on the date for your wedding, I will block it off in my diary/calendar and will not be available for other bookings.

Do you travel for weddings?

Yes, I can travel and my travel expenses will usually be included in the prices stated unless I need overnight accommodation. If so, I would ask for a contribution towards the cost (see packages).  However, if you would like to get married in the Bahamas, Hawaii or any other exotic location Please, Please contact me!

How many photographs will I Get?

This is a question I get asked quite often. The number of photographs depends largely on how long you have chosen to book me for. Therefore, the longer I am there the more photographs you will get. As a rule of thumb for a full day booking you will probably receive approximately 350-500 photographs. For a half day (five hour) wedding you can expect approximately 200 - 250 photographs. Please bear in mind that things like moving from one venue for the ceremony to another for the rest of the day, gaps in shooting time for room changeovers and traveling between venues may effect this.

To summarise, I prefer to deliver quality over quantity. I do my best to avoid duplicates, closed eyes and any photographs that may be embarrassing. Also, I like to deliver photos showing emotions, fun, laughter, even the odd tear of happiness, thereby capturing fleeting moments that you didn't even know occurred.

Can I  share my photographs?

Yes, you have full rights to share, print etc all of your images for none commercial purposes. The only thing I do ask is that you don't edit them.

Do you shoot group shots?

Yes. Although I do try to limit group shots to around 10 - 20 shots for example. The whole (ceremony) group shot, confetti shots. Bride/Groom and family, Bride's Maids and Groom's men, close family/children etc. (See gallery here) The main reason for keeping the number of group shots down is because you don't want the whole wedding party standing around for long periods. Especially if the weather is not as you would have liked. If  you wanted any other particular group shots, its not an issue, please let me know beforehand.

What happens if it rains?

Ok, its not great if it rains at some point on your special day. Despite this, umbrellas make great photography props, especially when a flash gun is placed behind. An evening photograph, with a Bride & Groom in the rain can make a fantastic photograph. The reflections in the puddles, cobbles, brightly lit wet foreground mirroring the image can make for some striking images.

What happens if I'm unwell?

If this ever did occur and I could not make it for whatever reason (it has never happened yet) I have a number of trusted photographer friends with a similar shooting style to mine who would be able to cover.


When will we get our images/photographs?

I aim to get the images edited and delivered between in 3-4 weeks. This all depends on how much work I have on at the time I shoot your wedding, as I edit every image individually. Editing is a very time consuming task and usually takes around three days if your wedding is a full day shoot. There is also considerable time needed for uploading to your on line gallery and even quite some time to put your highlight slide show together. However in the quieter months, possibly sooner. You can choose how your photographs are delivered; either digital download or via a usb drive.

Do we have to provide food?

No, this isn't a requirement unless you wish to. Shooting a wedding is a non stop job and the only time to get a break is usually during the wedding breakfast. Then shooting resumes until after the first dance, so on a full unlimited shoot this could be in excess of 12 hours. Please let me know in advance as I can always bring a packed lunch.
