Richmond Hotel Wedding: Katie & Stuart.
The whole event took place at the Richmond Hotel, the Bride and Bridesmaids, Lauren, Kim, Claire and Savannah, had an apartment at the venue. Katie and Stuart's wedding ceremony was due to start at 4:30 pm, however I arrived just before 1:00 pm in order to get a few shots of the venue and mainly to shoot the Bridal Preparation.
The apartment was spacious with two bedrooms, a lounge & a kitchen. Katie & the bridesmaids made me feel welcome and were really relaxed. The makeup artist was doing her stuff and a few glasses of champagne were also helping with the relaxed atmosphere. There was just one thing to do and that was to get some shots of the ongoing preperations.
The Groom was also present for the Richmond Hotel wedding but he was one floor above the girls. Stuart, who had sadly recently lost his Father was getting on with his preperations, accompanied by Chris, the Father of the Bride. Buttonholes sorted it was time for the guys to meet Stuart's best man, Eric, down at the hotel bar. This left a little time for the final shots of Katie and her Bridesmaids before the ceremony.
Richmond Hotel Wedding
The ceremony was quite emotional. Katie accompanied by her Father followed the bridesmaids up the isle to join Start waiting for her arrival. Katie appeared a little tearful and on joining Stuart, they lit a candle in rememberance of Stuarts Father.
Following the ceremony, Katie, Stuart and guests headed off to the bar for a few celebratory drinks and a buffet. Meanwhile the ceremony room was being prepared for the evening celebrations.
The eveing started off with the speeches, one or two of them once again, quite emotional, provoking a few tears, but also, a lot of laughter. Following the speeches, was the cake cutting and then the first dance for the Bride and Groom who were then joind by many of the guests on the dance floor.
